My research focuses mainly on empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, and quantitative finance. I am particularly noted for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in asset pricing and other financial applications. I am affiliated with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), more specifically with the Department of Data Science and its Applications (DSA). My mission as a researcher is to make the markets fairer and more efficient.
